Every day we wake up and do what we got to do like go to school or work. Its normally part of our everyday lives. However life throws a curveball at us and things end up changing. Let’s say you just recently lost your job and you won’t be making that good amount of money to help support your family.
The little things make a huge difference in our lives especially food for one. You see people out in the streets around streetlights and every street corner just begging for one thing and don’t even ask for a lot really. In America one out of every four Americans gets food assistance/ benefits like food stamps. Those people are working but they do not earn enough money in order to support their food household needs. Hunger is a crucial problem in our society and even in El Paso, TX. People are losing jobs, money, and it is rough on the families trying to hang in there when the going gets tough. Food gets us throughout the day and especially in life how would we survive without food?
Having food drives and fundraisers at your schools can help make a difference in the community. Especially during the holidays I mean look at how packed the grocery stores get during the winter holiday season. There is people out there who need our help and we are the only ones wjo can help make a difference. So instead of worrying about just us we need to take a little moment to give back to those who need our help and support. These people who are suffering hardships don’t really ask for a lot in all reality they just want one thing plain and simple. It is sad to see these families suffer even if they did a lot to support each other. If you have an elderly in the neighborhood who needs help grocery shopping offer to take her down the street and help her get what she needs. Helping each other is a key to bringing peace to one another. It brings everybody together as one.
We need to take another look or two around us and realize who needs our help and we need to be there for that family or person/s. If we don’t help each other out no problems will be solved. Everything will just remain the same as always. Always help you never know how much of a difference you will make.

Inner Peace
Inner peace keeps us strong and lets us have a peace of mind. It is one of the most valuable things that is offered in life. If you can value the importance of peace then it will make us work hard to make it reality. We need to do positive things for ourselves and others to bring peace in our society.
You can bring peace by creating and not criticize. The less you criticize about others I think the more inner peace you will have for yourself. Not holding grudges can make you more satisfied and have less stress on your mind. It is never good to hold alot of anger on one or more particular things for any given reason you just have to let it go and move on its life.
One key to bringing inner peace to yourself is having confidence. We need to realize what is good for ourselves and not rely on everyone's opinion and be choosing sides. Know what is good for yourself.

Free Write to Stand up!-Don't stand for homophobic bullying
After watching this clip it was a clip that grabbed your attention. Bullying is not right no matter what the case may be whether its physical, verbal, or normally kept secret. It shows that if you don't stand up for yourself you are going to keep getting hurt and makes you want to runaway even more. Standing up just shows how strong and confident you are in yourself. Some people have a hard time and go by what others think about them; instead of ignoring what others think. There comes a time where the truth is revealed and people are going to have to accept the fact it is what it is. Also finding the people who care for who you are no matter what orientation you are in the end.

Egypt
Egypt has faced many challenges. First they are run under a democratic government. They have faced many religious challenges. These people don’t have a lot of food for example. Now that prices are rising up in food, gas, and merchandise the people don’t have enough money to support their families. Egyptians protested saying that having all these supplies is a must need in this situation. Now this leads to a high rise in the unemployment category. Leaders are not providing any specific needs or interests to the citizens of the country. Normally leaders are supposed to be the head of this role in government. Plus it is hard to change one person’s mind because everyone has their own opinion. There is a lack of leadership in this country and no one is stepping up to the plate to take charge in order to turn this hardship around. Violence is occurring throughout this struggle.

| Comments: | The Centro de Los Trabajadores Agricolas Fronterizos is a facility located in the Segundo Barrio neighborhood near the Border Highway across El Paso’s sister city Ciudad Juarez. This facility is her for a few purposes one, to support border agricultural workers and their families and to support the low income community of El Paso. There are various opportunities the facility offers like English classes, arts and recreation for children and adults including a modest clinic and a cafeteria. This group is part of a non-organization project called sin fronteras to once again help the farmworkers solve many problems in which they encountered. The people who are responsible for running this group are dedicated volunteers in the community who do their best in order to help these families have a better impact on their lives involving communication with other public schools locally and nationally. It’s a 7 day week center for those individuals who need help and someone who can make a difference in their lives. Throughout history people have wanted to come to the United States to seek adventures and more opportunities. Our building reflects off of this historic pastime in the agricultural industry and it has an adobe like structure in the neighborhood. It has various creative features and murals displaying this farming and ranching culture. There is history behind one mural showing how it displays a whole day of work in which a farmer had to go through and experience in an everyday life. This design shows the spirit of the workers and the struggles of the Sin Frontera leaders, too. Another example of why this building is built how it was is due to the fact that back then this is what most villages looked like and the builders wanted to reflect off of this idea combining others together to create a population and a community. It shows a combination of the United States and Mexico whereas a wall guards the roof showing that there isn’t a way to get into the United States. It’s sometimes complicated to know what time of day it is because of the leadership this organization wanted to put in its design. The sun casts off reflections and shadows. As you have been reading this you can see that this center is not only a place for shelter but it is another facility where you can see a lot of opportunities that can benefit a lot of low income families throughout the city. We can turn a negative into a positive with our volunteers here to dedicate their time to you and be a positive influence for you. This is a facility for a need not a want. We can make a huge change for you in whom you can be successful later on down the road; it is a huge impact for the community. You will gain knowledge which will thrive into experience for each family member. The problems can be solved. This facility and this organization is here to help you. |

What comes to mind when you think of Peace?
So many things come to mind when the word peace is mentioned. It has various meanings. For example saying to a friend or family member see you later and giving the peace sign when you walk away. After a long day of work or school all you want is peace after a nice meal you lay on the couch and watch TV. Nothing but dead silence. However, sometimes we need peace and people hope and pray for it if there are rough times going on with them. In bigger cities where there is a major case of violence and you don’t have control of it and the only thing you want from all this is peace. Peace was a very common thing in the 1970’s I believe because of the peace sign. Peace was surrounded with bright neon colors. You would see it in the movies when people would deck out wearing peace sign shirts. You see peace in quotes and sayings too like PLUR: Peace, love, unity, and respect. Having peace can help us focus and concentrate even relax on our tasks if there are a lot of distractions surrounding us. It’s something we as individuals need to get things off our mind that can sometimes become very stressful to think about. It’s both a need and a want. It can turn a negative into a positive. It opens up ideas and having peace can help us realize and learn from good and bad. We can manage the process with our daily tasks from having peace. It is that time of day we always need so we won’t overwork ourselves. It brings many positive ideas into action and makes us rethink what we can do better at whatever we are doing. It can brighten up your day, and it helps you too in any way possible when you are having a long day.
Building Peace
Building Peace
Greg Mortenson describes how people over in the Middle East want to become educated. People over there are figuring out ways to learn and develop their learning skills. One way is to build peace. Having people that are learning can help that a lot. There were not any schools over in that location so the Central Asia Institute was built. One of the mission goals was to help the women become educated by at least the 5th grade level for three reasons. One, having knowledge and understanding how to support themselves, two avoiding any hazard that will make them suffer I think, and three with the birth rate not letting the population increase. People living in these villages around the small community at first were all strangers, friends, and then become family. They didn’t have enough food for everybody so everyone had to settle for tea. These people were working all day for a whole week. I think it’s good by finding things and putting them together in order to develop learning skills. Having people that are getting educated and going to school can lower the violence rate at the same time. You can get a better job later on down the road. This describes one way to build peace. The more work you put in the more opportunities that are out there for you. This man sees that people are working and he wants to open the door for them.
