El Pasoans suffering from hunger

Every day we wake up and do what we got to do like go to school or work. Its normally part of our everyday lives. However life throws a curveball at us and things end up changing. Let’s say you just recently lost your job and you won’t be making that good amount of money to help support your family.
The little things make a huge difference in our lives especially food for one. You see people out in the streets around streetlights and every street corner just begging for one thing and don’t even ask for a lot really. In America one out of every four Americans gets food assistance/ benefits like food stamps. Those people are working but they do not earn enough money in order to support their food household needs. Hunger is a crucial problem in our society and even in El Paso, TX. People are losing jobs, money, and it is rough on the families trying to hang in there when the going gets tough. Food gets us throughout the day and especially in life how would we survive without food?
Having food drives and fundraisers at your schools can help make a difference in the community. Especially during the holidays I mean look at how packed the grocery stores get during the winter holiday season. There is people out there who need our help and we are the only ones wjo can help make a difference. So instead of worrying about just us we need to take a little moment to give back to those who need our help and support. These people who are suffering hardships don’t really ask for a lot in all reality they just want one thing plain and simple. It is sad to see these families suffer even if they did a lot to support each other. If you have an elderly in the neighborhood who needs help grocery shopping offer to take her down the street and help her get what she needs. Helping each other is a key to bringing peace to one another. It brings everybody together as one.
We need to take another look or two around us and realize who needs our help and we need to be there for that family or person/s. If we don’t help each other out no problems will be solved. Everything will just remain the same as always. Always help you never know how much of a difference you will make.
