Building Peace

                Greg Mortenson describes how people over in the Middle East want to become educated. People over there are figuring out ways to learn and develop their learning skills. One way is to build peace. Having people that are learning can help that a lot. There were not any schools over in that location so the Central Asia Institute was built. One of the mission goals was to help the women become educated by at least the 5^th grade level for three reasons. One, having knowledge and understanding how to support themselves, two avoiding any hazard that will make them suffer I think, and three with the birth rate not letting the population increase. People living in these villages around the small community at first were all strangers, friends, and then become family. They didn’t have enough food for everybody so everyone had to settle for tea. These people were working all day for a whole week. I think it’s good by finding things and putting them together in order to develop learning skills. Having people that are getting educated and going to school can lower the violence rate at the same time. You can get a better job later on down the road. This describes one way to build peace.  The more work you put in the more opportunities that are out there for you. This man sees that people are working and he wants to open the door for them.
